Just a friendly hello

Hey family and friends!I hope you are all doing well. I just wanted to let you all know that I have started a blog. I will be posting updates,etc. here about what is going on with our journey to Guatemala as well as on facebook too. I am so glad to have you all here with us. On this blog you will see photos and names of our sponsored children. I hope by doing this it will help you all stay familiar with their beautiful faces and names. Welcome to our mission we are 2 plus God plus an army of wonderful supporters. I would like to tell a little about ourselves. I am Melinda and I am 36 years old. I love the Lord and try to live for Him the best life I can. I have a passion for helping others. I pray for God to continue to break my heart for what breaks His. This journey began for me in July 2016. I visited Guatemala on a service trip and I fell in love with the beautiful country. It quickly became home in my heart. I return every year and each year our team seems to grow in size and in heart. In 2019 my older sister Shanea decided to join this journey and she continues to come along each year as well. My sister is 39 and she too has a love for the Lord and for helping others. We strive to bring hope,love,and Jesus to our wonderful brothers and sisters in Guatemala. This hope and love and Jesus comes in many forms whether it is Bibles,prayers,food,clothes,hygeine products,toys,hugs,a simple "hola",stoves,water filters,playing a game of soccer, and the list goes on. We love this beautiful country...we love these beautiful people...but most importantly Jesus loves them more. We are so very thankful for all the people in our lives that has helped bring hope and love and Jesus to our brothers and sisters. Every single prayer,every single word of encouragement,every single donation,every single yard sale item donated or purchased,every single person who has showed support in some kind of way we are truly thankful for everything..and you have helped touch and change many, many lives...thank you for allowing God to use you.. We love you all and pray for God to bless each of you greatly. Thank you for coming along on this journey with us over the years...and this is only just the beginning.
